Summer Bash for Childhood Cancer

Summer Bash is the annual fundraiser of the Metro Area Youth Foundation in Omaha, Nebraska. The project allows us to heighten the public awareness of the financial hardships experienced by families with a child battling cancer.
The 6th Annual Summer Bash for Childhood Cancer is being sponsored by the Omaha Metro Area Optimist Clubs and will be held on Saturday, August 25th, at 5:30 PM at the Tip Top Conference Center, 1502 Cuming St. in Omaha. The event will feature a program, dinner, live and silent auctions, raffles and dessert auction.
Because of your generosity, you have helped us help 35 individual families in 2011 pay for car repairs, rent, utility bills, purchase medicines, food and gas in order to make the trips to the hospital for treatment.

How you can help:
Why we need your help?
Every year more than 12,000 children and teenagers will be diagnosed with cancer. In fact, one in every 330 Americans develops cancer before the age of 20. Because of statistics such as these, Optimist Clubs all over the world are participating in the Childhood Cancer program by building awareness of the disease, providing assistance for children and their families and supporting research to find a cure.
Please join with the Optimists in helping children and families bash Childhood Cancer by "Providing the Care...".
If you would like more information on the event, contact us. Remember, donations to the Summer Bash are tax deductible. Thank you for your consideration.
