11-year-old from central Nebraska diagnosed with t-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Mother was unable to work due to care for their child at home and the many appointments  and hospitalizations in Omaha. MAYF was able to assist the family with their home mortgage.


Treatment has been long and intense.  Parents live over and hour from Omaha. Depending on treatment this has at time been a daily occurrence.  Often it has been difficult to decide which bills to pay.  MAYF has assisted with utilities and car insurance.


 17-year-old from northeast Nebraska diagnosed with liposarcoma.  Mom was laid off during COVID and was unable to return to work due to her child's diagnosis and treatment and also due to the care of another child with medical issues.  Family was struggling financially and MAYF was able to assist with utilities and money toward buying a car so that mom would have reliable transportation to and from Omaha for treatment.
